Grant application deadline: 1/17/18

Senator Scott Jensen [R-Chaska] is encouraging local Carver County non-profit organizations,for-profit businesses, schools, Native American tribal communities, and local government entities to apply for Urban Agriculture Grants provided by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA). The grants are available to aid organizations and communities in obtaining the materials and services necessary to successfully promote urban youth agricultural education and urban agriculture community development.

“Agriculture plays an incredibly significant role in Minnesota’s economy, and expanding community participation in local agricultural projects is a worthy endeavor,” said Senator Scott Jensen. “I encourage interested groups to apply for the grants and continue to grow local agriculture in Carver County and throughout the State of Minnesota.”
