Senator Torrey Westrom (R-Elbow Lake) and Representative Jeff Backer (R-Browns Valley) will hold a series of town hall listening sessions throughout House District 12A on Friday, February 15. Sen. Westrom and Rep. Backer will discuss state policies and field questions from constituents regarding the current legislative session.
“Not only are town hall meetings direct lines of communication with our community members, but they allow us to hear and discuss issues in-person, ultimately shaping legislation,” said Sen. Westrom. “I strongly encourage folks to attend and share their priorities for the legislature.”
The town halls are open to the public and free of charge. Each will last one hour. They are scheduled to begin in Clinton at 8:00AM at the Downtown Diner, located at 131 Main St in Clinton. The other times and locations of the town hall meetings are as follows: 9:45-10:45AM at the Morris Public Library located at 102 E 6th St. in Morris, 12:30-1:30PM at the Herman American Legion located at 307 Pacific Ave S. in Herman, 2:15-3:15PM at Breckenridge City Hall located at 420 Nebraska Ave in Breckenridge, and 4-5PM at the Evansville Care Center Community Room located at 649 State St. in Evansville.
