Chamberlain: “We will make sure citizens’ rights and health are protected” during Water Gremlin investigation

State Senator Roger Chamberlain (R-Lino Lakes) wants residents of Gem Lake, White Bear Lake, and White Bear Township to know that area legislators are actively engaged in the Water Gremlin investigation. Water Gremlin has been under investigation by the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for possibly exposing surrounding communities to trichloroethylene (TCE).

“I was glad to see such a large turnout at the public information meeting about Water Gremlin held at White Bear High School Thursday,” said Sen. Chamberlain. “While people are understandably concerned, frustrated, and angry by the situation, I want to assure the public that Rep. Wazlawik, Sen. Isaacson and I are committed to ensuring your rights are protected and all of your concerns and questions are addressed. We will be meeting soon with officials from the communities impacted – Gem Lake, White Bear Lake, and White Bear Township – to guarantee that this happens.  If you have concerns or feedback, please feel free to contact us at any time.”
