Recently students from District 11 had the opportunity to visit the state Capitol for a field trip and tour.
On Monday, May 20th a group of 6th graders, teachers and chaperones from East Central Elementary stopped for a visit and met with Senator Jason Rarick (R-Pine City) and Rep. Nathan Nelson (R-Hinckley).
“Meeting with student groups is by far the best part of my job,” said Sen. Rarick. “I am always impressed by the level of interest in government that students have and the sophistication of their questions. No matter the school or the age group, whenever I leave a meeting with students I know the future is in good hands.”
