A note from Senator Andrew Mathews

Another legislative session is in the books, and we passed a balanced budget that delivers the first middle class income tax cut in nearly two decades and invests $6 billion for roads and bridges – all without raising new taxes. We also tackled Minnesota’s opioid crisis, passed into law landmark elder care protections, and passed measures to lower the costs of prescription drugs. We also stopped unconstitutional gun laws, extreme abortion bills, and $12 billion in proposed tax increases.

It’s truly an honor to represent Benton, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Sherburne, and Wright counties in the Minnesota Senate. As always, please keep in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
