On Tuesday, October 22, the Minnesota Senate Capital Investment Committee will visit the area as part of the third leg of its #MNfrastructure statewide bonding tour. The stops come at the beginning of the committee’s three-day tour of capital requests in Southwestern Minnesota. The committee will meet briefly at each location to hear from local officials regarding their project requests.
The committee will make the following area stops:

- Projects: U.S. Highway 169 pedestrian and bicycle overpass; Merriam Junction Trail; Cultural Corridor – Minnesota River stabilization and access
- Site Visit (8:10 a.m.): U.S. Highway 169 pedestrian and bicycle overpass (meet at 5800 12th Ave E, Shakopee, MN 55379)
- Presentation (8:40 a.m.): Shakopee City Hall (485 Gorman Street, Shakopee, MN 55379)
- Site Visit (9:20 a.m.): Miriam Junction Trail (meet at 3898 145th St W, Shakopee, MN 55379)
