This week, the Minnesota Senate Capital Investment Committee will tour area capital requests as part of the third leg of its #MNfrastructure statewide bonding tour of funding requests across Southwestern Minnesota. The committee will engage in a combination of project site visits and formal presentations from local officials regarding specific capital requests, with multiple presentations often occurring at each stop.
“We’re going back on the road to visit projects in Southwestern Minnesota and see the needs firsthand. With so many capital needs across the state, but limited funding, these tours help the committee make those tough funding decisions,” said Senator David Senjem (R-Rochester), chair of the Senate Capital Investment Committee. “More than $5 billion in capital requests have been submitted this year and there are many worthy projects. I’m looking forward to continue the tours.”
