Senator Utke today issued the following statement in response to Minnesota’s Pollution Control Agency and Department of Natural Resources decisions to grant environmental permits for Enbridge’s proposed oil pipeline across northern Minnesota

“Today the Enbridge Line 3 project received both certification approvals from the MPCA and eight DNR permits. Although Line 3 still needs final authorization and federal permits, these decisions are a huge step in the timeline towards construction. We look forward to the jobs and opportunities Line 3 will bring to Minnesota!”
