Senator John Jasinski (R-Faribault) today released the following statement in response to Gov. Tim Walz’s announcement that he would ease Covid restrictions on some businesses:

“This is long overdue. I am glad the governor is easing back on his restrictions a little bit, but it’s not nearly enough. Particularly considering that cases were trending downward prior to the shutdown order. I hear every single day from small business owners and workers who just want to get back on the job. These folks know how to open safely, and it’s unfair they are being hammered while big box stores and businesses in neighboring states are allowed to open. “
