Senator Bruce Anderson (R-Buffalo) joined colleagues in St. Paul Tuesday for the start of the 2021 legislative session. Key agenda items looking forward to this year’s session include COVID relief and balancing the budget.
“A very unusual start to session,” said Sen. Anderson, “I am hoping that the looming budget ahead of us keeps us focused on the issues at hand.”
Comprehensive state budgets are approved in odd-numbered years and legislators have much to consider when determining how to move forward with a deficit while continuing to battle ever-changing challenges of COVID-19. This year, legislators will work together in order to present a budget that reasonable and responsible.
Senator Anderson remains cautiously optimistic as we move into 2021, ready to handle any unexpected hurdles that may pop up.
