Senate Education Committee Chairman Roger Chamberlain (R-Lino Lakes) issued the following statement in response to the announcement of Gov. Walz’s education plan today.
“The governor’s plan has some things we can agree on, but overall there’s nothing new or creative here. These are not Minnesota priorities; Minnesotans are not asking for more of the same. They are asking for choice, for self-determination, and to get all kids back in schools right now. The governor is welcome to keep traveling down the same failed path we’ve always taken. Senate Republicans will focus on things that, you know, actually work.”
