Senator Paul Utke (R-Park Rapids) has been named the Chair of Senate Health and Human Services Finance and Policy Committee for the 2022 Legislative session.
Sen. Utke was elected to the Senate in 2016 and most recently served as the Chair of the Human Services Licensing Policy Committee.
“I am honored to be appointed the new Health and Human Services Chair, and I’m ready to work on behalf of all Minnesotans,” Sen. Utke said. “I have had the honor of serving the people of Senate District 2 since 2017, and I’m excited to engage in this new leadership position within the Senate. As we look toward the upcoming legislative session, I look forward to tackling the responsibilities that will come with this role.”
Senator Michelle Benson (R-Ham Lake), who previously served as Chair of the committee from 2017 to 2021 will now become Chair of the Human Services Licensing Policy committee.
