Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn (R-Grand Rapids) today issued the following statement on Talon Metals’ proposed new nickel mining project in Aitkin County:

“This is fantastic news not just for Aitkin County but for our entire region and the state of Minnesota. President Biden’s administration has already endorsed this project, having selected it as an early recipient of funding under last year’s bipartisan infrastructure bill. These are critical minerals, and this project is a big victory for job creation and the financial stability of thousands of families in our area, the growing and evolving green economy, and economic vitality in Northern Minnesota.”
