Friends and neighbors,
This Fourth of July marks the 248th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. As we gather with family and friends to enjoy fireworks, barbecues and parades, please take a moment to reflect on the significance of this celebration.
Independence Day is a time to commemorate the freedoms we hold dear—the freedom of speech, the freedom of religion and the freedom to pursue our dreams. These liberties were not given freely; they were hard-earned through the sacrifices of past generations.
As we celebrate our independence, let us also remember and honor those who have courageously served our Nation. Our veterans, past and present, have defended these freedoms with unwavering dedication and sacrifice. Their bravery and commitment ensure that the principles laid out in the Declaration of Independence continue to guide our nation forward.
Happy Independence Day! I wish you and your loved ones a happy and safe Fourth of July!
Sincerely,
Bruce Anderson
