Kreun applauds quick actions of Blaine Police in response to shots fired outside Northtown Mall

On the afternoon of September 8, it was reported that shots were fired outside of the Northtown Mall in Blaine.

Senator Michael Kreun (R-Blaine) released the following statement in response:

“I’d like to extend a big thank you to the Blaine Police Department for their quick action to make sure this incident didn’t escalate to something worse. There is no place for violence in our communities. This is why police need our support – they are a critical line of defense in ensuring our families and communities remain protected from heinous acts. Despite our fantastic Police Department, this incident is a reminder that Blaine is not immune to the crime trends in the rest of the metro area. We need to focus on policies at the state level that put law-abiding citizens above criminals and reverse the soft-on-crime policies we’ve seen enacted in the past two years under the Democrat trifecta.”
