Senator Bruce Anderson: The enduring legacy of 9/11

Friends and neighbors,

It has been twenty-three years since our nation and the world were forever changed. Each year, this day serves as a solemn reminder of the incredible resilience and fortitude of the American spirit in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We will always honor and remember the thousands of lives lost and the countless sacrifices made by those who stepped forward to help. My deepest gratitude goes to the selfless peace officers, firefighters, paramedics, and all the courageous individuals who ran toward danger to save others. Their bravery and heroism are an inspiration to us all.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families and victims affected by that horrific attack. As we reflect on the events of September 11, 2001, I urge us all to honor the enduring legacy of those who were lost and to reaffirm our commitment to stand united in the face of adversity.
