Senator Kreun elected assistant Senate Republican Leader

Minnesota State Senator Michael Kreun (R-Blaine) will serve on the Senate Republican leadership team after his colleagues elected him to serve as an assistant minority leader for the upcoming 2025-2026 legislative session. Senator Mark Johnson (East Grand Forks) will continue his role as Senate Minority Leader.

“It’s an honor to be elected by my colleagues to guide our caucus efforts in the upcoming legislative session,” Senator Kreun said. “We need more common sense and accountability in government, and I will be looking for ways to restore balance in our state. Minnesotans are looking for quality schools, safe communities, and relief from the high cost of living, and our team is committed to delivering for them.”

Senators Julia Coleman (Waconia), Gary Dahms (Redwood Falls), Karin Housley (Stillwater), John Jasinski (Faribault), and Michael Kreun (Blaine), and Jordan Rasmusson (Fergus Falls) will work together as the Senate Republican leadership team for the 2025-2026 biennium.
