Senator Jasinski elected assistant Senate Republican Leader

Minnesota State Senator John Jasinski (Faribault) will once again serve on the Senate Republican leadership team after his colleagues elected him to serve as an assistant minority leader for the upcoming 2025-2026 legislative session. Senator Mark Johnson (East Grand Forks) will continue his role as Senate Minority Leader.

“I’m honored to once again have the support of my colleagues to serve on our outstanding caucus leadership team,” Senator Jasinski said. “Strong relationships are key to real progress, and I’ve always worked to bridge divides and find common ground — without compromising our principles. I look forward to working with Senators of both parties to make life better for hardworking Minnesotans – from life more affordable to ensuring every child has access to a great education.”

“John has proven himself to be an excellent leader with broad respect across the aisle,” Senator Johnson said. “He’s a dedicated public servant, and his relationships throughout the Senate will be crucial as we continue tackle the issues that matter most to Minnesotans.”

Senators Julia Coleman (Waconia), Gary Dahms (Redwood Falls), Karin Housley (Stillwater), John Jasinski (Faribault), and Michael Kreun (Blaine), and Jordan Rasmusson (Fergus Falls) will fill out the rest of the Senate Republican leadership team.
