The 2025-2026 committee rosters were announced this week for the Minnesota Senate. In addition to continuing to serve on the Education Finance and Judiciary and Public Safety committees, Senator Michael Kreun (R-Blaine) was added to the Capital Investment Committee, and will also serve on the State & Local Government committee for the duration of the power sharing agreement reached in the Senate.
Sen. Kreun released the following statement:
“After successfully delivering on Highway 65 bonding requests for my district, I am honored to be added as a member of the Capital Investment Committee. I am committed to advocating for the bonding requests that benefit Blaine, Columbus, Ham Lake, and Lexington, while prioritizing traditional infrastructure projects that make our entire state better. I look forward to working with all committee members to prioritize the needs of communities throughout the state.
“I look forward to my continued work on the Education Finance and Judiciary and Public Safety committees, which encompass critical portions of state law and have far-reaching effects. I also look forward to the opportunity to serve as a co-Vice Chair of Judiciary and Public Safety and Capital Investments committees during the unique power sharing agreement reached in the Senate.”
As part of the current power-sharing agreement, Sen. Kreun will also serve as the co-Vice Chair for both the Capital Investment and Judiciary and Public Safety committees.
