On Friday, March 7, the Wright County Farm Bureau held its annual food awareness event at Buffalo Cub Foods, raising over $11,000 to support local food shelves. Donations came from the Wright County Farm Bureau, Wright County Dairy Association, Cub Foods, and Farm Bureau Financial Services agent Adam Tabberson.

The event featured a fun, fast-paced shopping spree challenge, where two teams had 90 seconds to grab as much food as possible. I teamed up with State Rep. Joe McDonald and Wright County Commissioner Tina Diedrick, collecting 629 pounds of food and spending $1,683.83. The winning team—Wright County Commissioners Derek Vetsch, Jeanine Holland, and Nadine Schoen—collected 1,188 pounds and spent $3,694.52.

All food and financial donations will help the Buffalo Food Shelf, Delano Food Shelf, and Wright County Community Action provide essential supplies to families in need. It was a fantastic event for a great cause, and I was honored to take part!
