(St. Paul, MN) – The state of Minnesota terminated contracts with the disgraced non-profit Community Action of Minneapolis after the news media brought to light inappropriate spending of over $800,000 in state and federal funds.
Senate Republican Leader David Hann (R-Eden Prairie) responded with the following statement:
“While I welcome today’s action by the Dayton administration regarding Community Action Minneapolis, I have to ask why it took a front page story during an election year to get them to act. From MNsure failures to the Senate office building boondoggle, the absence of accountability and oversight has become the hallmark of this administration. This also strengthens the ethics case against Senator Jeff Hayden as we await testimony about his lack of oversight as a member of the Community Action Minneapolis Board.”
