Proudly representing Senate District 23
Senator Gene Dornink is serving his second term as a member of the Minnesota Senate. He represents Minnesota’s 23rd District, which includes communities in Faribault, Freeborn, Mower, Steele and Waseca counties. He is the Republican lead of the Senate’s Labor Committee and serves on the Agriculture, Broadband and Rural Development and Elections committees.
Senator Dornink graduated from Austin Vocational School with a carpentry degree and worked in residential construction. He worked as a member of Carpenter’s Union #1382 in Rochester for 22 years.
Senator Dornink is a lifelong Minnesotan who was raised on a family dairy farm.
