Of all the dangers posed by complete Democrat control of government, the danger to babies must rank right at the top. The new session is only a few days old, but they are already hard at work rushing anti-life bills through the Senate.
I wanted to tell you about one of the most grotesque, murderous bills we have seen so far this year: Senate File 70. This is one of the Democrats’ two main abortion expansion bills. It repeals a number of abortion-related measures that we have on the books already, including a law called the “Born Alive Infants Protection Act.” This law protects babies who survive abortions – if a baby survives an abortion attempt, the Born Alive Infants Protection Act requires doctors to take all reasonable measures to preserve the life and health of the baby.
In other words, by repealing that law, Democrats are saying that even children who are born alive after an abortion are not worthy of humanity. It is truly sickening.

Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life has a good roundup of some of the other horrific provisions contained in Senate File 70:
- It repeals parental notification before abortions are performed on minors
- It repeals the Woman’s Right to Know law, which requires providers to disclose specific information to mothers prior to an abortion
- It repeals a law that only physicians may perform abortions
- It repeals Minnesota’s abortion reporting law, which requires the state to collect abortion data, including data on injuries and deaths
