Minnesota spends more than double the national average per person on Medicaid — $51,215 in 2022. That’s a staggering number, and it raises serious questions. Is there a good reason for it?
With a $5.1 billion budget deficit just around the corner thanks to Democrat recklessness of the last two years, we need answers. In the Human Services Committee, I recently laid out my concerns about these costs, the risk of bankrupting the system, and the need for real comparative data to understand why Minnesota is so far out of line with everyone else.

We have to take a long, hard look at this issue. Our top responsibility must be that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, waste and inefficiencies are found and fixed, and fraud is not just rooted out — but stopped.
