Minnesota State Senator John Jasinski (R-Faribault) has been named as deputy leader of the Senate Republicans for the upcoming 2023-2024 legislative session. On Thursday, Senate Republicans selected Senator Mark Johnson as the minority leader.
“I am humbled to be chosen to serve as deputy leader for my Senate Republican colleagues,” Jasinski said. “I am a firm believer that great relationships are the key to success. I have always tried to bridge our divides by forging strong bonds with all of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle. I am excited to continue building those relationships across the aisle to achieve our goals of putting money back in working Minnesotans’ pockets, keeping our streets safe, and getting every kid a great education.”
“Senator Jasinski will do a fantastic job for the people of Minnesota serving as Deputy Leader of our caucus,” Johnson said. “I selected John because he is a tremendous leader who has forged strong relationships in our caucus and across the aisle. His experience will help us advocate for Minnesotans as we fight to tackle the challenges facing our state.”
