Minnesota State Senator John Jasinski (R-Faribault) today issued the following statement in response to news that a couple from Faribault has pleaded guilty to involvement in a Feeding our Future fraud scheme.

“The degree to which Minnesotans have been ripped off by the perpetrators of the Feeding our Future fraud scheme is galling, and that anyone would use a program aimed at feeding needy children to enrich themselves is unconscionable. It’s a shame that the governor’s administration was not serious about stopping or preventing this fraud, but I am grateful to U.S. Attorney Luger for aggressively investigating and prosecuting these criminals. Minnesotans deserve justice.”
