Rarick to serve on Education Finance, Energy, Higher Education, and Labor Committees

The 2025-2026 committee rosters were announced this week for the Minnesota Senate. In addition to continuing his service on the Education Finance, Energy, and Higher Education committees, Senator Jason Rarick (R-Pine City) will once again return to the Labor Committee, which he previously served as Chair of during the 2021-2022 biennium.

Sen. Rarick released the following statement:

“As we start a new biennium, I look forward to continuing the good work we’ve done in the Education, Energy, and Higher Education committees. Being that this is a budget year and our state is headed towards an over $5 billion deficit, the top priority for us needs to be reining in the over-spending that Democrats have engaged in for the past two years. We also need to crack down on the rampant fraud and abuse, and find innovative ways to make life more affordable for Minnesotans. That work starts in our committees, and I’m committed to beginning those discussions.”

As part of the power-sharing agreement, Sen. Rarick will serve as the Co-Chair for the Education Finance committee, and will also serve as the co-Vice Chair for the Higher Education Committee.
