Housing First Minnesota, the state’s leading voice for homebuilders and remodelers, has recognized 28 Minnesota Legislators as recipients of the 2018 Housing Leadership Awards. The honor recognizes legislators for their efforts throughout the 2018 legislative session to promote housing affordability and homeownership.
“During the 2018 legislative session, these housing leaders played key roles in helping Housing First Minnesota protect the dream of homeownership for future generations,” said David Siegel, executive director of Housing First Minnesota. “Homeownership is too important to our communities to ignore, and these legislators understand that.”
“It is truly humbling to be recognized for an issue that is so important to me,” said Senator Jerry Relph (R-St. Cloud), one of the award recipients. “When we think about the American Dream, one of the first things to come to mind is owning your own home and the pride it brings. I promise to continue working to help make that dream a reality for more hardworking men and women.”
