Senator Carrie Ruud (R-Breezy Point) was recently recognized by the All-Terrain Vehicle Association of Minnesota (ATV MN) for her years of dedication and hard work in advocacy on behalf of the ATV community in Minnesota. Sen. Ruud has worked on and championed legislation that funds ATV trails and supports the safety of the sport. Notably in 2019, Sen. Ruud authored legislation that created a comprehensive ATV environmental and safety education certification program, aimed at increasing safety and knowledge around ATV operation.
“It is an honor and a privilege to receive this award from ATV Minnesota,” said Ruud. “I have been passionate about outdoor recreation for years and have carried multiple bills that support and fund ATV trails and safety. It’s important that we work together to maintain a safe, accessible, and enjoyable ATV environment for generations to come.”
Created in 1983, ATV MN advocates for ATV recreation, advancing the safe use of ATVs, providing information, and participating in legislative regulatory activities related to the use of ATVs. The group is comprised of individual, family, and business members, and promotes safe and responsible ATV usage.
