Sen. Lang to Serve as Republican Co-Chair on Senate State Government Committee

ST. PAUL – Senator Andrew Lang (R-Olivia) today announced he will serve as the Republican Co-Chair on the Senate State Government Committee during the 2025 Legislative Session.

Among numerous priorities, Senator Lang is focused on delivering transparency and efficiency to Minnesota’s state government. In light of numerous, recent fraud reports totaling nearly $1 billion, prioritizing fraud prevention and oversight of state dollars being allocated to non-governmental organizations will be a main focus of Lang’s agenda.

“It’s an honor to continue to serve the residents of southwestern Minnesota,” Lang said. “As the Republican Co-Chair of the Senate State Government Committee, I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to assemble a budget prioritizing an efficient state government free from the waste, fraud, and abuse that has been allowed to run rampant in Minnesota. Developing solutions to prevent the abuse of taxpayer dollars will be a critical step in delivering results Minnesotans can see and help families afford the high cost of living.”

In addition to the Senate State Government Committee, Lang will serve on the education finance; transportation; and environment, climate, and legacy committees.
