Sen. Eric Lucero (R-Saint Michael) and Rep. Walter Hudson (R-Albertville) toured St. Michael Catholic School on Feb. 21. The event was organized by Principal Heidi Gallus. 

“St. Michael Catholic School continues to be at the foundation of our great community,” Sen. Lucero said. “The great work and dedication of the teachers and staff clearly show in the success of students.”  

Sen. Lucero and Rep. Hudson visited several classrooms and met with teachers and staff during the tour. Principal Gallus shared her priorities including her concerns regarding Gov. Tim Walz’s proposed cuts that will negatively impact students at the school. 

“Seeing these kids in action reiterates the importance of continuing non-public pupil aid the governor seeks to eliminate in his budget,” Rep. Hudson said.
