Friends and Neighbors,
Summer is coming to an end, and kids are getting ready to head back to school. Although we accomplished a lot last session, I am particularly proud of the work we did to fully fund our schools. We made an historic investment in E-12. Each school district will receive 2-percent increases in both 2020 and 2021, adding up to $388.8 million altogether. Below is the break-down for each school district:

- 2021
- $534,420 and $294/pupil increase

- 2021

We also increased special education funding this year. School districts are responsible for providing additional resources and services, and we appropriated extra funds to ensure that all our students receive excellent educational experiences.
I am confident that each of our school districts will greatly benefit from these increases. We are thankful for our amazing teachers and faculty and we are committed to providing them with the tools they need to help students succeed.
