Friends and neighbors,
We often take for granted the many blessings we have as Americans, which is why Veterans Day is so significant. This day allows us to honor the bravery and sacrifices of our servicemen and women, both past and present. It is a time to reflect on the freedoms we cherish—freedoms that have been defended by those who have served.
Minnesota is proud to be home to over 290,000 veterans who enrich our communities with their courage and dedication. This Veterans Day, I encourage you to think about how you can support the veterans in your hometown. You might volunteer your time, participate in local events that honor their service, or simply reach out with kind words.
While words alone may never fully capture their sacrifice, our actions can convey our deep appreciation.
This year, I am honored to be invited to the Veterans Day Ceremony at the IMPACT Christian Academy in Buffalo, MN. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with Minnesota veterans, as well as community members who serve our county and state in various ways. Those being recognized include local, county and state law enforcement personnel, as well as firefighters, EMTs and EMS workers.
The ceremony honors those who serve and shows gratitude to their families, who also make sacrifices for our communities. Their selflessness helps us live in a safe and thriving society. This event reminds us of the commitment and courage that motivates many people to serve our nation.
To all our American heroes: thank you for your service! We are truly the land of the free because of the brave. May God bless America and all who have fought for our freedoms!
