Senator Bruce Anderson: Honoring our Vietnam War Veterans

Friends and neighbors,

On Saturday, we observed National Vietnam War Veterans Day, a time to honor those who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War. This date marks the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Vietnam in 1973 and serves as a reminder of the bravery and resilience of those who fought.

As a Vietnam-era veteran myself, I have a deep appreciation for the courage and dedication of my fellow service members. To all who answered the call—thank you for your service.

Constituents at the Capitol

Last week was a productive week with many constituent visits!

On Tuesday, March 25, I had the opportunity to meet with Tom and Jamie Greshowak. They provided me with valuable insight on Senate File 2662, which I co-authored. This bipartisan bill pertains to modifications to the visitation rights of grandparents. Their passion and advocacy on this issue are inspiring.

Additionally, I had the privilege to meet with Chelsea Jerominski, a representative from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. We had the opportunity to discuss issues surrounding PFAS and the Equipment Manufacturing Industry. We also discussed rising costs and the persistent issues with supply chain disruptions.

Later, I had an excellent discussion with Pam Flattum, Katie Ha, and Stephanie Strahl. We talked about matters related to the Education Support Professionals (ESP) Bill of Rights framework. I am extremely grateful for their insight on this matter.

My office is always open to constituents, and I encourage you to stop in the next time you’re in St. Paul! Your insight and perspective are invaluable as we work together to address the issues that matter most to our communities.
