Minnesota Senate Republicans announced today that Senator Roger Chamberlain (R-Lino Lakes) will once again serve as chairman of the Senate Taxes Committee, a post he also held in 2017 and 2018.
“Serving as the chair of the Senate Tax Committee is an incredible honor, but also a serious responsibility,” said Sen. Chamberlain. “Minnesota’s economy is flourishing by almost every measure, but we have to prepare for the challenges on the horizon. The only way we will be able to sustain our success and continue generating such strong economic activity is by putting people first – not government. We need a tax system that gets government off the backs of workers and frees people to create prosperity for themselves and their families. That’s what the Tax Committee has focused on the last two years, and that is what we will continue to work on next session.”
Senate Republicans also announced a full slate of committee chairs for the upcoming biennium.
