Happy Easter to all the people of
Senate District 56 and all the residents of Minnesota!
As a man of faith, I consider Easter to be the most important of our holidays.
God, our creator, planned for Jesus to be born at Christmas so that he could save us by dying for us 33 years later. We had Christmas to have Easter. Jesus ascended from death to give us a picture of how we could choose to be with him by accepting him. If we accept Christ, we become one with him.
For me, I reflect upon Easter as a holiday that is filled with and built upon hope, the hope of life eternal, the hope of forgiveness of all our sins, and the hope of a fresh start.
It’s my hope that over this Easter
weekend and in the coming month we can all share in contributing and creating
hope in our state, across our nation, in our communities, with our families, and
amongst others we know.
I hope that I can take this same message back down to St. Paul, to work with my
colleagues in the Senate and House along with Governor Walz. As the only
divided legislature in the nation, many do not have faith that we can
compromise or get things done. I hope that we can disprove that and make
Minnesota a better place.
But on this holy day, I want to
conclude by thanking God for his love and thanking Jesus Christ for his conviction
and how he has taught us to have hope and faith in our lives.
Sincerely,
Senator Dan Hall
