Last week Senator Eric Pratt (R-Prior Lake) was recognized by the Suburban Transit Association as a Champion of the Suburban Transit Providers. The prestigious award recognizes legislators that support the organization and engage in a collaborative effort to prioritize the needs of regional suburban transit.
“As Chair of the Suburban Transit Association (STA) it’s an honor for me to recognize Senator Eric Pratt as a champion of the suburban transit providers,” said Kevin Burkart, a City Councilor from Prior Lake, during a recent award ceremony at the Marschall Road Transit Station in Shakopee. “Senator Pratt has long understood the needs of suburban transit and our challenges with the Met Council as we seek parity within their centralized policy making environment.”
“I’m incredibly honored to have received this award,” said Sen. Pratt. “The suburban transit systems, with our local officials’ oversight, are vital to the community’s resident and business needs. I appreciate STA’s partnership and will continue to work with them to ensure they are successful helping to get people back to work in the suburban counties.”
