Last week the Minnesota Senate passed a bill chief-authored by Senator Mike Goggin (R-Red Wing) which requires school districts to provide military recruiters, skilled trades, and manufacturing representatives access to present their career opportunity information to students in our schools. Exposing students to the countless opportunities and career paths beyond high school is the best way to set them up for success. Senator Goggin’s bill will give them the freedom to identify and live out their dreams.
“I just want to give kids every opportunity to see what’s out there for them,” said Senator Mike Goggin (R-Red Wing). “Every student will take a different path and while a 4-year degree may be the perfect fit for one, another may find fulfillment as a skilled tradesman or in the military. It is up to us to provide them with the options, and for them to pursue their dreams!”
