The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency today announced that they will move to adopt California-style clean car emissions standards.
Senator Mike Goggin (R-Red Wing) issued the following statement:
“Minnesotans care about the environment, but this is not the right way to go about adopting these new emissions standards. Using executive rulemaking bypasses the legislature, and effectively removes the peoples’ voice from the discussion. Something this important needs to be fully vetted through the constitutional process that the founders intended; it should not be implemented by directing bureaucratic agencies to simply adopt another state’s rules.”
