Friends and Neighbors,
We are experiencing unprecedented times. I am sure you have heard that time and time again, but it holds true. While we are not in session at the Capitol right now, we are still working on your behalf, so you have the resources and support you need to get through this time.
Last week, we came together at the legislature to pass $331 million to help Minnesotans withstand the effects of the pandemic. Funding for childcare providers, college students, small businesses, veterans, homeless shelters and food shelves were our priorities. There is a lot of uncertainty, but we are committed to providing the support Minnesotans need as we fight this virus and everything that comes with it. These are extraordinary times and legislators on both sides of the aisle are working in tandem with constituents to navigate this pandemic together. We are prepared and we remain vigilant.
There are a lot of resources floating around right now as programs develop, but there are a couple in particular I hope you will find helpful. For additional links, please visit my Senate Facebook page- I post updates there often.

Right now, we are focused on making sure vulnerable adults, seniors, business owners, students, and all Minnesotans are cared for. I know everyone has been impacted differently and we are doing our best to get you the support you need.
If I can do anything to help you or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at 651-296-5612 or sen.mike.goggin@senate.mn . Minnesotans are strong enough to come together and get through this. Our economy will take a hit and I know each of you will be impacted like never before, but I believe in the strength of our communities. We will rally together. Our children, our families, and the most vulnerable in our communities are relying on us to support them with all we have. I hope you will find joy and purpose through the worst of the coming weeks. Please look after one another and keep the best interests of your family, friends, neighbors, and community in mind. I love our district and our state, and I will continue to do all I can to make sure we pull through this. My prayers are with you. I wish you all the best health, physically and mentally, as we fight this together.
Mike
