Senator Housley selected assistant Senate Republican Leader

Minnesota State Senator Karin Housley (R-Stillwater) will once again serve on the Senate Republican leadership team as an assistant minority leader for the upcoming 2025-2026 legislative session. Senator Mark Johnson (East Grand Forks) will continue his role as Senate Minority Leader.

“I’m honored to help lead our caucus as a member of our strong leadership team,” Senator Housley said. “With tight margins in both the House and the Senate, strong relationships and a willingness to find common ground will be needed to deliver for Minnesotans. They are counting on us to chart a path towards safer communities, better schools, and relief from years of high costs of everyday life.”

Senators Julia Coleman (Waconia), Gary Dahms (Redwood Falls), Karin Housley (Stillwater), John Jasinski (Faribault), and Michael Kreun (Blaine), and Jordan Rasmusson (Fergus Falls) will work together as the Senate Republican leadership team for the 2025-2026 biennium.
