On Tuesday, January 3rd, Senator Karin Housley (R-Stillwater) was sworn in for her fourth term in the Minnesota State Senate.
“I am deeply honored to be sworn in for a fourth term, and I am looking forward to representing the communities of Senate District 33,” said Housley. “Since we are heading into a budget year, the top priority will be addressing inflation and the disbursement of the historic $17.6 billion surplus. I’ve heard the concerns of families across the district—inflation, the surplus, crime, and the healthcare staffing crisis are all on their minds. It’s time for our Legislature to come together with bipartisan solutions to solve these everyday problems, so we can continue making Minnesota a desirable place to live.”
Senator Housley will serve as the Ranking Minority Member on the Capital Investment Committee, and will also sit on the Housing and Homelessness Prevention and Jobs and Economic Development committees.
In addition to serving on these committees, Senator Housley will also serve on the Senate Republicans’ leadership team as Assistant Minority Leader.
