On Thursday, Minnesota Senate
Republicans announced that Senator
Bill Ingebrigtsen (R-Alexandria) will serve on the Senate’s Human Services Reform Finance and
Policy Committee in 2020.
“I’m proud to have been appointed to serve on the Senate’s Human Services Reform
Committee,” said Senator Ingebrigtsen. “As one of the largest items of our state
budget, health and human services has been an absolute mess for Minnesota over
the past few years. Whether its been childcare fraud, DHS overpayments, data breaches,
or corrupt cronyism the whole budget section is in desperate need of repair. With
that in mind, I am excited to work collaboratively with my fellow legislators
to implement reforms that increase accountability and install solutions that
save taxpayers money, end rampant waste and fraud, and ensure we best serving
and protecting Minnesota’s vulnerable populations.”
In addition to serving on the Senate’s Human Services Reform Committee, Senator
Ingebrigtsen also serves as Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee,
Vice-Chair on the Finance Committee, and as a member of the Capital Investment
and Judiciary and Public Safety Committees.
