Senate Republicans today added an amendment to the State Government Finance bill to immediately end Gov. Walz’s emergency powers related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Senator John Jasinski (R-Faribault) issued the following statement:

“The emergency is over. States all over the country, including New York — the epicenter of the pandemic — have ended emergency powers. It is time to be done, and to take steps to make sure this level of overreach never happens again.”
