Senator Warren Limmer (R-Maple Grove) today released the following statement on the opening of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs’ Post-9/11 Veteran Service Bonus application. Service bonuses are available for eligible Veterans who served from Sep. 11, 2001, to Aug. 30, 2021. The application will run until June 30, 2024, or until funds have been exhausted. “This session, the Minnesota Legislature passed legislation that makes critical investments in Veteran services across the state. As part of this Veterans package, we approved funding to honor the tradition of awarding service bonuses to Minnesota Veterans who served in America’s wars. 

“I am pleased to announce that the Post-9/11 Veteran Bonus Application is now open. With the end of the Global War on Terror last year, service bonuses are available for eligible Veterans who served between Sept.11, 2001, and Aug. 30, 2021. To all Minnesota Veterans, thank you for your service and the many sacrifices taken to safeguard our state and nation.
