On August 23, the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans will be hosting the 2019 “Duluth Stand Down for Veterans” at Duluth Bayfront Festival Park. Veterans will have access to a number of no-cost services, such as meals, legal assistance, and mental health and housing support. The event will last from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Veterans should bring their DD214 or VA ID card for faster registration.
“This is an amazing opportunity,” said Sen. Jason Rarick (R-Pine City). “It can be complicated, time consuming, and expensive for veterans to get answers to the issues they are facing. MAC-V does an incredible job of meeting veterans where they are and providing simple, cost-free assistance. I hope every veteran in our area will consider checking out this event.”
