Senator Warren Limmer (R-Maple Grove) was recently presented with the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association’s(MSFCA) Legislative Award to recognize his leadership on Minnesota’s fire-related issues. This award is presented to legislators who carried policies that further advance the mission and reflect the current needs of Minnesota fire service.
Senator Limmer received this award for passing the fire safety account bill during the 2021 legislative session. This legislation assures expanded fire training across the state.
“Our firefighters exemplify what it means to be a public servant and selflessly put their lives on the line as they protect our communities and loved ones,” said Senator Limmer. “I am honored to have received the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association’s Legislative Award and will continue to serve as a champion for Minnesota’s firefighters.”
Burnsville Fire Chief BJ Jungmann, who serves as the MSFCA legislative chair, presented the award to Senator Limmer at the Maple Grove Fire Station. Maple Grove Assistant Fire Chiefs were also in attendance of the award ceremony.
