(St. Paul, MN) The National Federation of Independent Business of Minnesota today announced the presentation of its Guardian of Small Business award to state Senator Jim Abeler (R-Anoka).
“Senator Abeler is a real friend of small business, and we are happy to announce that he has earned the NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award,” said Mike Hickey, NFIB Minnesota state director.
“I am honored to receive the Guardian of Small Business award,” said Senator Jim Abeler. “Small business owners and their employees are some of the hardest-working Minnesotans in the state, yet year-over-year, they are hindered with tax and regulatory burdens that make it tough to stay in business. As a business owner, I’m proud to stand with our job creators and appreciate their contributions to our communities.”
With 10,000 members statewide, NFIB is Minnesota’s largest small-business group. NFIB gives out its Guardian of Small Business award at both the federal and state level to recognize lawmakers who have been supportive of small business on critical issues.
