Senate Democrats on Monday voted to end the chamber’s groundbreaking bipartisan power-sharing agreement.
Senator John Jasinski (R-Faribault) issued the following statement.
“For the last few weeks, we have worked incredibly well under power-sharing structure that gave every Minnesotan a voice in their government. It was a serious step toward rebuilding the relationships that were damaged by the actions we witnessed during the Democrats’ one-party control.
“Unfortunately, today Democrats tossed that bipartisanship aside. Despite the proclamations, especially those made by the so-called “Blue Dog” Democrats, about how important working together is, they voted at the first possible minute to go back to the partisanship of the last two years. I fear we will look back on this as a serious missed opportunity.”
