Sen. Warren Limmer has served in the Minnesota State Senate since his election in 1995. He represents Senate District 37, which includes the northwestern suburban cities of Corcoran, Greenfield, Independence, Loretto, Maple Grove, Maple Plain, and Medina.
Sen. Limmer is the Lead Republican on the Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee. In addition, he also serves as on the Elections Committee and is a member of Rules and Administration Committee.
Sen. Limmer worked as a corrections officer prior to being elected to the legislature. He received an associate degree from North Hennepin Community College and a bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University in criminal justice studies. Sen. Limmer is also a former member of the Hennepin County Corrections Advisory Commission and of the Crystal Human Rights Commission.
Sen. Limmer currently resides in Maple Grove and works as a real estate agent. He and his wife, Lori, have three children.
